Córdoba Peanuts

Argentine peanuts are protected by the designation “Córdoba Peanuts” as set forth by Provincial Act N° 10,094, enacted in 2012. The designation “CÓRDOBA PEANUTS – Certificate of Origin” is a quality seal that guarantees premium quality, according to the strictest international standards.

QUALITY

This quality is also monitored through numerous agreements with research institutions articulated through the Argentine Peanut Foundation. These institutions undertake the annual monitoring of the Argentine peanut production and determine the nutritional quality of peanuts as food, as well as their chemical and nutritional composition. Moreover, they certify product innocuousness by determining the absence of pesticide residues and heavy metals.

The seal “Córdoba Peanuts – Certificate of Origin” was launched in the international market with the support of ProCórdoba and ExportAr Foundation during the 2007 Snackex of Barcelona. Since then, Argentina has continued promoting peanuts in international exhibitions and missions, earning extraordinary recognition among the most demanding consumers worldwide. The products of the Argentine peanut sector are exported to the whole world carrying the seal “Córdoba Peanuts”.

It is worth highlighting that in addition to China, other peanut-producing countries are increasingly demanding more Argentine Peanuts for their gourmet niches. Furthermore, other relevant peanut producers also buy Argentine peanuts: U.S.A., India, South Africa, Mexico, Turkey, Brazil, Egypt and Australia.
